Refoplan: "Scientific support for the implementation of the ecodesign regulation"

The ecodesign regulation (ESPR) replaced the ecodesign guideline in summer 2024. It is an essential EU instrument for product -related environmental protection. The project is intended to the Federal Environment Agency and the Federal MinistryInput for the environment provides scientifically well -founded input in order to properly accompany the design of the delegated legal files.

Special attention in this project is on the following topics:

- on the intermediate products iron/ steel and aluminum moved into the focus by the ESPRas well as on tires,

- on hurdles for the introduction of requirements for plastic recyclates in products,

- on the possibility of determining horizontal requirements that apply directly to several product groups in the form of a regulation. Focus on the spare parts price,Repairing requirements and networked devices are,

- on questions about the digital product pass,

- on an automatic evaluation of information from the EPREL database

and

- on which support in commenting on preliminary studies and regulatory proposals of the EUCommission for other product groups.
