• ReFoPlan: “Noise effects of outdoor leisure activities at night” The noise and annoyance effects of outdoor leisure activities at night are unknown. Outdoor public television performances, clubs/discotheques, open-air concerts and festivals can cause problems, especially at night in metropolitan areas. In some cases, regulations (“public viewing regulations”) have been issued, and in others, exemptions (“rare events”) allow recreational activities to be carried out, even if Noise protection requirements cannot be met at night. The federal, state and local governments strive to enable outdoor leisure activities at night while at the same time minimizing their noise impact on residents as much as possible avoid. Simple solutions are often missing as to how the needs for outdoor leisure activities at night and for rest can be met at the same time. The research project identifies and evaluates noise conflicts at night Outdoor leisure activities. The experiences in prison and the effects on those affected should be evaluated. Based on this, recommendations for action should be developed. Criteria for future regulatory options should be examined.
