• REFOPLAN 2026: “Scientific support for the Competence Center for Sustainable Consumption (KNK) in the Federal Environment Agency” On February 24, 2016, the Federal Cabinet approved the “National Program for Sustainable Consumption” (NPNK). The program represents a way how The necessary structural change in the economy and society towards sustainability in Germany should be further promoted. The national Competence Center for Sustainable Consumption (KNK) was founded to support and implement the NPNK. The The KNK office is located in the Federal Environment Agency. The KNK pursues three overarching key objectives: - Key objective 1: The KNK promotes the understanding of sustainable consumption in Germany and provides information about the goals, activities and results of the Federal government on sustainable consumption - Key objective 2: The KNK promotes a positive social climate for priority areas of action in sustainable consumption through collaboration with relevant stakeholders and multipliers effective measures to promote sustainable consumption - Key objective 3: The KNK promotes the implementation and further development of the NPNK In the advertised project, tasks in all three key objectives are taken on and the office in its work supports. The KNK's offerings are being further developed, improved and expanded.
