• Description:
• ReFoPlan: “International comparative analysis of adaptation processes - conclusions for adaptation policy in Germany” This project is intended to use an international comparative analysis of adaptation processes and strategies as well as the Establishing strategic international learning partnerships, drawing conclusions for adaptation policy in Germany and strengthening international cooperation between UBA/BMUKN in the long term. Adaptation policies, processes and activities of states outside Europe should be analyzed with regard to transferability for German adaptation policy. In short - “learning from and with others”. The results are intended for the further development of climate adaptation in Germany Cooperation with non-European partner countries and a stronger role in international adaptation policy processes (e.g. UNFCCC) can be used. The planned analysis can, for example, relate to the following areas: - governance and organization of adaptation processes; - Planning and implementation of measures (policy mixes) including ambition level; - Formulation and implementation of concrete adaptation goals (against the background of the discussion about the Global Goal on Adaptation). Paris Agreement, the planned European Climate Resilience and Risk Management - Integrated Framework and the EU Climate Law); - Legal and financial framework for adaptation; - Overcoming silo mentality to strengthen departments and departments cross-level (keyword: multi-level governance) cooperation in adaptation; - Social dimensions of adaptation; - Best practices in the involvement/commitment of private actors, including in the area of ​​adaptation financing; - Methods and Experiences regarding certain “products” - such as monitoring, evaluation, risk analysis, data bases and climate services, singular transformative best-practice examples and approaches...
