There is no day without a message which city, municipality or companies voluntarily compensates for its THG emissions. In everyday life, the application of "climate -neutral" products is becoming increasingly common. Negative headlines around voluntary compensation are also increasing. The German population is thus voluntarily in contact with the narrative to compensate for its emissions. In the voluntary market there are several privately supported quality standards with different requirements. This is often perceived as a jungle for the target group of private individuals as well as for companies that decide to compensate for voluntary compensation.
