The reactions of consumers to potentially increasing fuel prices will be different. In order for a CO2 price in conjunction with other climate protection instruments in traffic to act as effective as possible and do not lead to the excessive demands of individual groups, it is important to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the short and long-term reactions to the price increases. The Research project should therefore investigate how consumers behave due to increasing prices in traffic and which factors influence the reactions of the different instruments in society.
Long-term purchase decisions, for example with regard to a car acquisition, However, immediate reactions that are reflected in tank behavior are also of interest. The question of how and under what circumstances and assumptions decisions are made is particularly relevant. The research project is intended to investigate how different population groups Fuel prices and their individual stress perceive the relevance of the CO2 prize, which are concerned about what concerns or reservations exist and, as can be promoted by targeted information and accompanying measures, acceptance.
