• The HZI intends to award the following services to the contractor in the form of a framework agreement. The period of the framework agreement covers the audit of the annual financial statements for the financial years 2026 to 2029. The HZI is preparing with this tender for the award of the contract; The appointment of the annual auditors (concrete contract award in individual cases) is carried out by the responsible body of the institution. It follows that the appointment/election of the annual auditors (Award of the contract) is carried out by the respective shareholders' meeting of the relevant companies for one year each. It is intended to appoint the annual auditors for a period of four years (2026 to 2029). on the basis of this tender. No obligation to reappoint can be derived from the framework agreement. The appointment of the annual auditors is also subject to the approval of the funding recipient, the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). In addition, agreement must be reached with the Federal Audit Office (BRH) on the planned commissioning following or in the course of the tendering process (see Section 68 Paragraph 1 Sentence 2 BHO). The means that before the federal government makes a corresponding declaration in the corporate bodies about the election or appointment of the auditor, BRH approval must be available.
