Description:
The control centers of DB Energie GmbH are responsible for managing the electrical network operation in the overhead line network of DB Netz AG and the 15 kV switchgear of DB Energie that feeds into the overhead line. Instead of the independent control systems (9 in total) of the central switchboardLen (Zes), a uniform, central but geographically redundantly distributed network control system is currently being put into operation at 3 central switching points.
As part of this overarching project, network-capable devices for intelligent network connections are being installed at all VPN area locations of the DBension (INA). These devices must be able to control the IEC60870-5-104 telecontrol lines between RTU and control systems without re-parameterization of the RTU (e.g. changing command authority of the various control systems or monitoring).
