The regional data center of the University of Hamburg (RRZ) is the central IT service provider of the University of Hamburg. It offers a wide range of central IT services, such as e? Mail, WWW, file and printing services, e-learning or administrative applications. Many IT services of the RRZ are also used cooperatively by other universities. Since 2008, the RRZ has operated an inhomogeneous local server infrastructure based on various manufacturers, on which VMware vSphere (ESXI) is then operated as a hypervisor.
