Description:
The federal government adopted the "Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Federal Government" in November 2018 and updated it in a new version in 2020. The goal of this strategy is to become one of the leading countries for artificial intelligence (hereinafter: "AI") applications. TheThe use of AI for sovereign tasks is a central element of the AI strategy (as of November 2018, paragraph 3.7). For this purpose, a number of measures have been put in place, which are listed in the "Overall concept for strengthening measures to promote artificial intelligence".
In the last fewOver the past few years, developments in the field of data science, especially in connection with the sub-discipline of AI, as well as the neighboring fields of IT architecture and database management, have experienced an enormous increase in speed. Almost every day there are new reports about AI applications that have recently been developedstill seemed unthinkable. A prominent example here is certainly ChatGPT. By integrating AI, database management and IT architecture, data science creates the basis for comprehensive analysis of data and the generation of valuable insights that the public sector can benefit fromto support making well-founded decisions, optimizing processes and driving forward innovations.
