Description:
The Bavarian State Office for the Environment (LFU) is responsible for monitoring the requirements of the 10th BImSchV "Ordinance on the nature and the distinction of the qualities of strength and fuels" (Section 18 (1)). The fuel quality is sampled directly by sampling of the fuel checked at the petrol stations. The petrol station operators are legally obliged to allow the removal of random samples at their petrol stations (Section 52 (3) BImSchG). In addition, the petrol station operators (subjects subject to information) have in accordance with Section 52 (4) BIM
SCHG to bear the costs for sampling and examination of the fuel, each plus VAT and costs for the amount of fuel taken. Analogously, the LFU is responsible for monitoring the power and fuels placed in accordance with Section 18 (3) of the 10th BImSchV by means of a sample examination of Tankage/refinery rehearsals.
