- As part of the “Hanseatic Hydrogen Center for Aviation and Maritime (H2AM)” project - previously known as the “Innovation and Technology Center for Hydrogen (ITZ)” - a new research and development center (R&D center) is being created for Hydrogen technologies. The aim is to create an infrastructural platform for the application-oriented development, testing and validation of components and systems, especially in the area of fuel cell systems for maritime and aeronautical use. In close collaboration with industry and research partners, technological innovations for sustainable, hydrogen-based value creation in the mobility and energy sector are being promoted. The Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Services (Fraunhofer CML) takes on a central role in the H2AM in setting up a Fuel Cell Integration Center (FCIC). The aim of the FCIC is to create a modularly structured laboratory that provides comprehensive and systematic testing Analyzes of propulsion systems based on fuel cell technology for maritime applications are made possible. The planned FCIC is intended to serve as a research infrastructure to enable the integration and optimization of fuel cell systems with their balance of plant (BoP) for use in maritime propulsion systems. A particular focus is on the modularity of the laboratory in order to be able to flexibly examine various components of a maritime drive train. ... Additional Classification Codes Quantity
