Description: The nearly quadratic new building is divided into a delimitable laboratory area over four levels and a "public" office and foyer area. In the center of the building is a overgload atrium, which group the offices into the upper floors. In the new building, jobs for about 100 employees are created, which require for their work office space and biochemical laboratory rooms of protection levels S1 to S3.
The Fraunhofer IME-BR operates applied life sciences from the molecule to the ecosystem and are partners for contract research in the areas of pharmaceutical, medicine, chemistry, agriculture and environmental and consumer protection. The research and services offered to industry, to small and medium-sized companies and the public sector.
The IME-BR is a research facility with a total of about 7 100sqm, and consists of a main building with laboratory, office and supporters and a secondary building.
