"The Fraunhofer IVV with currently 342 employees (250 FTE, as of February 2025) is structured into 9 departments and 5 business areas, with 283 employees (198 FTE) working at the main location in Freising. The institute has been very dynamic, especially in the last 5 years and continuously growing. The forecast for the next few years suggests that this growth will continue due to the development driven by the project business. From this we can derive an FTE increase of 38 in the next 10 years. In addition, there is the substantial role of IVV in strategic initiatives of the FhG.
The IVV is reaching its limits in terms of technical facilities, office and laboratory capacities, especially as a result of the development of dynamically growing subject areas in the last five years.
The planned construction project is intended to create an extension of approx. 2,100 m2 technical center,
Laboratory, office and other usable space will be created."
