Description:
On the right-hand elept for the west of the village of Schönhausen, Stendal district, 49.95 and 50.70 expansion measures are required between the Deich-KM, since the dyke systems do not meet the necessary requirements for adequate protection of the adjacent towns and infrastructure. The deficits are primarily reflected in the fact that on the one hand, the dike height is too low compared to the design flood. On the other hand, the dike does not have continuous dike defense paths, so that expedient system maintenance and repair is not given and the access in the event of defense is not guaranteed in accordance with the standard (DIN 19712).
The dike foreland is characterized by extensive green areas and single trees or smaller groups of trees. The dike protection strips (5 m per side from a dike foot) are free of trees. The immediate hinterland of the dike is forested and also used for agriculture. At the start of the construction of Deich-KM 49.95 to approx. 50.15 (construction km 0+000 to 0+200), the temporary waters "pork nose" are adjacent to the lane-footed dike foot.
