Description:
The University Library (UB) is the largest technical library in Thuringia and belongs to the Technical University (TU) Ilmenau as an operating unit. It primarily has the task of providing university with literature and information for study, research and teaching. In addition, it is available throughout Germany to all citizens, public life institutions, commercial enterprises and research sites for scientific and professional purposes as well as for training and further education.
The university library is a central teaching and learning room on the Ilmenau TU campus. At peak times, more than 21,000 people use the local services, in particular the different learning and work areas. In addition to single workstations, users in the group work rooms should be given the opportunity to learn together or to develop something together.
