• Brief description of the format A child-friendly urban design, school development or facility concept in youth welfare is no longer conceivable today without qualified participation processes. However, many of those involved in the process are lacking Basic theoretical knowledge and strategies and methods such as moderation, presentation or creativity techniques that make it easier to implement participation. The required methodological and strategic knowledge should be provided in further training be placed as a moderator for children and youth participation. For Lower Saxony, the State Center for Civic Education Lower Saxony (LpB) and the German Children's Fund are planning to implement this further training for the year 2026 and 2027. The Further training provides practical knowledge, methods and skills for all those who carry out their own participation projects or want to anchor the participation of children and young people in their everyday lives. The seminar series ends with one certification. As part of the LpB's political mandate and the updated continuing education curriculum of the German Children's Fund, the cross-sectional topics of diversity and digital child and youth participation are considered focal points. The topics must therefore be reflected as an aspect to be taught with regard to the participation of children and young people as well as in the practice of further training. The LpB will contribute its expertise and offers the team of trainers to actively support thematically. In addition, the trainers are free to rely on external expertise within the scope of the overall budget. All content of the further training is prepared in such a way that it can be transferred directly into your own fields of activity make possible.
