- The sustainable building assessment system is available as a content-wise further developed and restructured BNB 2.0 system. In addition to the reduction to 25 criteria, which are assigned to the three dimensions of environment, use and values, a new evaluation principle was introduced with BNB-Vario. This means that the evaluation system can be used for buildings with different usage typologies and in particular for mixed uses as well as for new buildings or existing renovations. The basis for this is a flexible structure in which the criteria and methods to be applied can be selected and edited for specific purposes. The overall result determined on this basis is issued as a degree of fulfillment in percent and as a certificate (gold/silver/bronze).
The functionality of determining the criteria and methods to be applied, processing the BNB 2.0 criteria and checking the evaluation results should be made available to users as an Excel tool. The processing should not only be designed to be user-friendly, but also clearly specified - and thus implemented in accordance with the rules of the German accreditation body DAkkS.
