- The state capital Mainz with around 227,000 inhabitants is located in Rhineland-Palatinate. The owner of the gas supply network of general care and current owner of the right to use the tributaries in accordance with Section 46 (2) Energy Industry Act (EnWG) in the city area is Mainzer Netze GmbH. The between the State Capital Mainz and Mainzer Netze GmbH existing Payback contract according to Section 46 (2) EnWG ends on December 31, 2027. With this procedure, the state capital Mainz is now awarding a new tramulation contract in accordance with Section 46 (2) EnWG for the gas supply network of general care in Mainz urban area. This is associated with the task of operating a corresponding supply network. The traversing contract to be concluded provides for a maximum term of 20 years.
