- The waste disposal company Westmünsterland mbH (EGW) is planning the fundamental modernization and expansion of the existing mechanical-biological waste treatment plant (MBA) at the Gescher site into a state-of-the-art facility Organic waste full-flow fermentation plant. For this purpose, fermentation technology on the one hand and gas processing on the other should be commissioned in independent procurement procedures. The subject of this process is gas processing. The services should be provided by be provided by a general contractor/total contractor (TU/TÜ). For this purpose, a negotiation procedure is carried out with a preliminary participation competition in accordance with GWB and VgV in conjunction with the VOB/A EU. The aim of the entire project is to reduce the annual volume of to process around 105,000 tons of organic waste from the Borken district and neighboring regions not only into high-quality compost, but above all into biogas and thus into renewable energy. By switching to the full-flow fermentation process the energetic potential of organic waste is optimally exploited. The biogas produced will be processed into biomethane in a new gas processing plant and then fed into the public natural gas network.
