  • Kraftverkehrsgesellschaft mbH Braunschweig is planning to build a new depot at An der Feuerwache 12-20 in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt. For this purpose, the client is planning a sustainable energy concept in which geothermal energy is part of a bivalent system of several technologies (brine/water heat pump and air/ water heat pump). The planned geothermal probe field currently consists of 21 EWS with a distance of around 9 m and a depth of 100 m. The exact location of the drilling grid can be found in the attached site plan. The probe field is located on a construction road to be created on sitebuilt at different heights. The corresponding height can be found on the site plan showing the geothermal probes and the height level of the construction road. The lines are connected to a PE distribution and collection shaft outside the heating center in a green strip. From the distributorFrom beams, a supply and a return pipe are laid into the building on the ground side. To estimate the geothermal site parameters, an exploratory borehole to a depth of 100 m was drilled in May 2023, which was expanded into a pilot geothermal probe and then connected to a geothfirst Response Test (GRT) was carried out. (Column profile in Appendix 2). The result shows good effective thermal conductivity of the soil body in the area of ​​the building project of approx. 2.06 W/mK.
