Description:
The Itzehoe Clinic is tendering the expansion of the existing HCI system solution (HCI stands for "Hyper-Converged-Infrastructure") from the manufacturer Dell and accompanying support services by 4 hosts in an accelerated procedure.
HCI extension
Manufacturer specification A product-specific tender is objectively justified because of the existing VxRail hosts from the manufacturer Dell. In addition to a homogeneous system structure, there is full and consistent integration into the existing hyper-converged infrastructure with 12 hosts from the manufacturer Dell. The required system expansion with 4 hosts does not justify the tender for a new overall solution and the associated costs. Furthermore, mixing different products and the associated allocation of error sources, warranties and support contracts would be problematic and must be avoided. Before this one The "one-manufacturer strategy" is being adhered to in order to continue to ensure this homogeneous system landscape. If the current Dell cluster is mixed with products from other manufacturers, the necessary manufacturer support expires and the overall solution can no longer be operated. This is unacceptable for safety and operational reasons.
