Description:
The "ZISSAU Phase 2" project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, has set itself the goal of developing sustainable and innovative barn construction concepts for both conversions and new buildings in sow husbandry and for rearing piglets. According to the definition of gruAdditional requirements that these barn systems should meet are planned for structural implementation in the sow husbandry of the Haus Duesse Agricultural Research and Training Center for testing and further development of various variants. The developed barn construction concepts are based on an the political considerations for increasing animal welfare aspects and are intended to serve as an example in practice of how the criteria can be implemented in future for the areas of mating centre, waiting area and farrowing area.
