- The "ZISSAU Phase 2" project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, has set itself the goal of developing sustainable and innovative stable construction concepts for both conversions and new buildings in sow farming and for rearing piglets. According to the definition of gruIn addition to the additional requirements that these stable systems are supposed to meet, a structural implementation in the sow husbandry of the Haus Duesse Agriculture Experimental and Education Center is planned to test and further develop various variants. The stable construction concepts developed are based on an the political considerations for increasing animal welfare aspects and are intended to serve as an exemplary example of how the criteria can be implemented in the future for the areas of mating center, waiting area and farrowing area.
