The Freilichtmuseum Hessenpark GmbH in the Hochtaunus district is the central open-air museum of the state of Hesse and presents the whole variety of building, living and manual, agricultural and domestic work from the 16th century to the 1980s. It houses a variety hIstorian half-timbered building, a large collection of everyday objects as well as permanent and special exhibitions and is a certified organic and agricultural business. In its competence center for half-timbered buildings, Hessenpark is future-oriented and works on building with ecological and natural materialsto research and further develop building materials and to propagate the use of rural half-timbered buildings. In the context of this orientation, the Freilichtmuseum Hessenpark GmbH is planning the construction of a new administration building in which modern workplaces, for which there are currently different Stanthere accommodated employees are to arise. These workplaces are now to be merged in order to facilitate and strengthen working together. The new building is to be realized in a prominent location in the immediate vicinity of the entrance building. Suitable for the traditional BauwInstead of iron from the historic museum building, the new building is to be constructed using a particularly sustainable straw bale construction method, taking into account the climate goals of the state of Hesse.
