- Fraunhofer EMFT operates a scanning electron microscope (REM) of the type Gemini 560 type. In the current configuration, a standard-time stage with an accuracy is installed in the single-digit micrometer range. However, this system must also be used for high-resolution chip scanning processesbecome. These scanning processes require very high accuracy in the physical movement of the stage. The stage currently used does not meet these requirements. Therefore, a new high-precision stage is required to resolve high-resolution and precise chipscan imagesensure.
