Description:
The Aachen University Hospital AöR is purchasing a latest generation confocal laser scanning microscope (KLSM), which must have the properties listed below. The system is used to analyze dynamic processes in living cells (cell cultures, tissue, C. elegans) and for examining fixed samples. Fluorescently labeled proteins and dyes are used as reporters. To observe living cells, detection methods are required that are gentle on them sample and at the same time enable high resolution and fast scan rates. An increased resolution compared to classic confocal microscopy must be available for all detectors (less than or equal to 120 nm lateral resolution in z-stacks). One of the Detectors will employ state-of-the-art technology that addresses the limitations of single point detectors in terms of resolution and sensitivity, or comparable technologies (less than/equal to 90 nm lateral resolution in z-stacks and less than/equal to 120 nm without z-stack).
