Description:
The Chair of Organic Chemistry II at the Technical University of Munich wants to purchase a high-resolution HPLC-MS system for proteomics analyses. A tribrid instrument is required for the mass spectrometer, which combines three different mass analyzers (including Orbitrap) in one instrument. This ininstrument should deliver the best results for proteome analyzes in data independent acquisition mode and also allow quantification at MS3 level. This is for the analysis of TMT labeled experiments with more than 10 labels, as well as the exact evaluation of crosslinkers (preferably DSSO Crosslinker) on MS3 level required. For the upstream HPLC, an instrument with a flexible flow rate of 100 nl to 100 yl is required, which is suitable both for the setup with trap columns and for direct injection. The HPLC-MS system is controlled by the same control software grequired, which is made possible by the same manufacturer of both sub-devices. The new system to be purchased replaces an older device in the proteomics facility and is intended to be complementary to the existing one for proteomics in order to be able to cover a wide variety of experimental requirementsTims-TOF system used for measurements.
