Description:
The existing fire and rescue station was put into operation in 1983 as a pure fire station "Command Fire Brigade" and the seat of the superordinate departments "Volkspolizei-Kreisamat Department Fire Brigade" and the "District Authority of the German Fire Brigade Department". After reunification the fire protection and rescue office of the Hanseatic city of Rostock was formed on January 1st, 1991. As part of the integration of "fast medical help", parts of the existing fire station were converted into a rescue station. In addition, a central storage space for storing the medical devices was as well as a disinfection garage. The term "fire station I" does not reveal this multiple use and does not reflect the complex spectrum of the location of the location. Continuous contemporary building maintenance and modernization with the current largely trouble -free Business operations have been difficult in the past and could only be implemented, reduced to the minimum entitlement.
