Description:
As part of the infrastructure project "i2030 More Rail for Berlin and Brandenburg", the states of Berlin and Brandenburg are financing the plans for the expansion of the transport infrastructure in eight corridors around the capital region. This also includes the northern corridor "Nordbahn / Heidekrautbahn". In the Birkenwerder station project, a sub-measure of this corridor is being implemented, the aim of which is to unbundle the currently common routes of the S-Bahn and the regional train in Birkenwerder station.
