Description:
The energy system integration department at the Institute for Technical Thermodynamics of the DLR is researching, among other things, on the electrolysers and their individual components. Impedance spectroscopic measurements are used to analyze fabric exchange, electrochemical and electrical behavior of electrolysis stacks used. In various test stalls, electrolysis stacks with an electrode area of up to 100 cm2 with a power density up to 1 a/cm2 in stacks with up to 5 serial switched -out single cells and a maximum cell voltage of up to 2.5 V can be measured. With the measurement results the effects of process parameters on stack performance and the influencing mechanisms are to be analyzed.
