The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) commissioned a study on the EU framework program for research and innovation entitled "German participation in the EU framework program and current trends in European research and innovation funding".
The findings of the study should help to show the most important potential for the further development of structures, programs and procedures from a German perspective, in particular also with a view to the interim evaluation of Horizont Europe and the design of the 10th EU framework program for research and innovation.
Building on a statistical analysis of the German participation in the last supporting program "Horizont 2020" (as well as first preliminary data on Horizont Europa), methods of empirical social and economic research should be examined the importance of EU research funding for the German research and innovation location And how the interaction with national funding structures is.
