For some years now, the discussion about the emissions and effects of ultra -college particles (UFP), i.e. particles in the size area Implementation of a UFP effect study (4th sub -project - module II: panel study)
The present tender only addresses the 4. Partial project.This was divided into several modules again: part of this present tender is only the "Panel Study" (PAN) module. At the same time, a secondary data -based cohort study is also advertised in a separate tender. The latter is not part of this tender. In theThe following research questions should be examined:- What effects have ultra-fine particles in particular from the air and road traffic sector on the health of the population in the Rhein-Main area? - Are there different effects depending on the UFP source? If yes,which? - How are the mechanisms of action between UFP exposure and health consequences depending on the end point examined? - Are there any differences depending on certain population groups? - How important are multiple active factors on health, e.g. combination UFP/ traffic noise orUFP/ other air pollutants and meteorological parameters, such as UFP/ temperature?
