  • The acquisition of an IVIS Lumina S5 2D In Vivo Imaging System for small animals is necessary in the course of the PerForM-REACT project application of the research facility Helmholtz Zentrum Muenchen German Research Center for Health and Environment GmbH (HMGU).
    Due to the new research projects that are being carried out withconnected to the project proposal, there is a need for in vivo imaging that allows for a better understanding of the molecular pathways of disease biology (viral infections), the tracking of disease progression, or the assessment of anatomical and molecular aspects of infectious diseases. The system will be used for high throughput in vivo two-dimensional bioluminescence and fluorescence imaging and an extended field of view of up to five mice. Appropriate equipment for anesthesia and subsequent work steps is required to carry out this workneeded. In order to be able to carry out the work quickly and efficiently and to keep the working hours in the S3 laboratory as short as possible, we need an anesthetic system that allows several animals to be prepared for the imaging procedures at the same time.
