The Institute for Space Systems (IRS) at the University of Stuttgart needs InertiaOil sensors or inertial measurement units (IMUs) for the 80 kg SmallSat ROMEO. The ROMEO mission aims to demonstrate new technologies in low and medium Earth orbits, conduct radiation analysis and observe Earth's albedo. IMUs are an important part of thes Attitude control system for satellites. They can measure the satellite's angular velocity in space, which is necessary for precise attitude control. In the case of the ROMEO satellite, IMUs with additional integrated acceleration sensors are required to carry out the mission-critical thrust maneuversr to control.
