Description of the task:
The German Space Agency in the German Center for Aerospace e.V. (RFA in DLR e.V.), here Department of space situation, explores the procurement of turnkey ground stations for the radar-supported railway tracking of objects on near-earth orbits ("tracking radar"), including control systems and control software as well as the subsequent maintenance of the systems.
Goal this The project is to integrate radar systems for railway tracking of objects on earthworks (up to train heights of approx. 2,000 km) into an existing network of sensors and to operate operationalally. These systems are to be connected to the German Space Location Center (WRLAGENZ). The systems must be designed for a fully automated 24/7 measuring operation and observations must be carried out regardless of the weather. Measurement data must be processed fully automated and provided to the WRLAGENZ in a standardized form almost in real time. Commissioner Observations must be able to be carried out independently by the individual systems.
