- The overarching goal of the project is the surface monitoring of the two infrastructure structures and the detection of possible soil and building movements. The Hilpoltstein lock system is potentially affected by reduction processes, the lock system Eckersmühlen serves as an identical comparison object with a stable building ground.
The terrestrial surveying work in the course of the last building inspection at the Hilpoltstein lock system suggests that there are instabilities in the area of the basic tangent. As a result, the object points required for the stability examinations of the lock system cannot be determined resilient. In addition, there are also signs of ground reductions on the grounds of the immediate lock environment.
In this pilot study, the satellite -based radar interferometry (Insar) is to be used to determine reduction processes in the lock environment and to make statements about the stability of the lock chamber.
