• Description:
• The city of Fulda intends to expand the Cuno-Raabe School at the Gallasiniring location with a combination of new building and existing buildings. The construction project is divided into two main components: Component A (new building): Construction of a three-story, Angle-shaped school block with a central atrium. The building houses administrative areas, specialist classes and modern learning clusters (teaching, differentiation and multifunctional rooms) on the upper floors. Component B (existing/church): Integration of a former church into the school campus through a "house-in-a-house" concept. The three-story installation includes a cafeteria, teaching kitchen, all-day areas and a media library. A special highlight is the “play deck” on the 2nd floor under the church roof. Both components are linked via a connecting building on the upper floor, which creates a covered break area on the ground floor and underlines the central campus character. Heating trade description: The installation is for the Cuno-Raabe School campus a modern heat supply and distribution system is planned. The central heat generation is housed in the basement of component B (existing church) and also supplies the new building (component A) via a local heating pipe that has already been buried on site. As The primary heat source is a highly efficient brine-water heat pump system in a double cascade with a total thermal output of approx. 160 kW. This uses a geothermal probe field made up of 21 boreholes that has already been manufactured on site. For the regeneration of the A heat exchanger for passive cooling operation is provided in the probe field. To cover peak loads, a gas condensing boiler will be installed, using the existing gas infrastructure and the chimney flue in the church's bell tower.
