- At the Hohen Wangelin site, the State Research Institute for Agriculture and Fisheries M-V operates a pilot plant to develop commercial zander production. The aim of the project is to establish commercial zander aquaculture in location-independent rearing systems in MEcklenburg-Western Pomerania. An essential component for the successful implementation of aquaculture projects is the treatment of the process water. Because there is a global water shortage, attempts are being made to save water through the location-independent production of aquatic organismsn. For this purpose, the process water is treated in a highly specific manner. This is only possible through the use of modern technology. In particular, the nutrient concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus are also monitored by the authorities and for this reason treatment plants are integrated, which selectivelyv reduce these nutrients in the process water. This is done, for example, by using a mixing container equipped with an agitator, mixer, dosing connections and safety grilles. There is an agitator in each tank compartment that mixes the chemical with the process waterthus leading to particle formation. The mixture is then passed through a belt filter to separate solids. Although a band filter is currently being used in the project to separate solids, there is no prior particle fixation. This process should be finally adjusted...
