At the Hohen Wangelin location, the State Research Institute for Agriculture and Fishing MV operates a pilot plant for the development of commercial pikeperch production. The aim of the project is to set up a commercial pikeperch culture in location-independent rearing systems in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. An essential component for the successful implementation of aquaculture projects is a smooth disinfection of the circulatory water of all systems, which is adapted to certain stages of life of the fish in its efficiency. According to the literature, Ozon still represents the most effective form of water conditioning. This future -oriented technology is to be integrated into the system as part of the project through an innovative disinfection concept in order to achieve protection of sentence fish production and to build up the system competitive.
