Houses 218 and 219 are part of the former gasworks on the site Part of a building ensemble that consists of two similar masonry hall buildings and a flat central building. It was built around 1890 in solid brick construction and is included in the city of Leipzig's list of monuments.
Building 218 is a hall building made of masonry with a truss construction is overstretched. The functional building is constructed without supports over its entire length and is reinforced with thick outer walls.
