- Description:
- The city of Karlsruhe, civil engineering office for urban drainage, is expanding its stormwater overflow basin (RUeB), which is operated as a rainwater treatment plant, at the Karlsruhe sewage treatment plant. The rainwater tank volume will be expanded by a total volume of around 3,000 m³. The total volume of the rainwater tank increases by onevolume of around 3,000 m³. This should also include a volume of around 1,000 m³ for internal sewage treatment plant accidents and for the purpose of temporarily storing different media (sludge, polluted water, etc.) in the planned measuresin. The extension will be realized by a new basin structure, which is located in the existing green area between RUeB 12 and the wastewater measuring station and is divided into three chambers. This creates a chamber for the above-mentioned average and storage purposes and two other chambers for the actualche Beckenerweiterung.
