Description:
The Saxony-Anhalt Cultural Foundation is an independent state foundation under public law. Her tasks include structural and conservatory support as well as the scientific development of the construction and cultural monuments in order to make them accessible to the public and one to be used for their importance.
In addition to a comprehensive renovation, the cultural foundation is planning the cultural tourist development of the Schlosses Koethen as an attractive museum and cultural location. The palace complex north of the historic old town includes on an area von approx. 5 hectares of over 900 years of history and architectural diversity. The core area of the facility, which goes back to the 16th and 17th centuries, is to be gradually renovated, rebuilt and developed in order to strengthen cultural and historical importance as well as tourism support financially.
