- As part of the general renovation of high -performance corridors in Germany, the "right Rhine route" between Unkel and Wiesbaden (route 2324 and 3507), which runs in the Mitte region, is to be extensively renovated in 2026. The 49.8 km long section of the route 2324 runs throughRhineland-Palatinate, the 86.8 km long section of the 3507 route through Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse.
The quantity scaffolding of the general renovation includes the renewal of 11 constructive engineering structures, 111 soft, 67 track kilometers and 13 level crossings. In addition, two level crossingsabandoned and five new transfer positions made. In addition, eight rocky hits and 32 train station attractorations take place.
The investment amount for this project is estimated at around EUR 1,159 million. From this, around EUR 35 million have already been billed via an existing contractmade. The newly advertised insurance contract will replace the existing contract. It is expected with a currently planned construction period until December 31, 2026.
