Brief description of the project: The project "Krechalstarteal Stadtlagerhaus Regensburg" aims at the historical city camp in the Westhafen of Regensburg and the adjacent warehouses in Auweg in oneto transform the dynamic center for the cultural and creative industries. The conversion of this area is intended to promote the regional creative industries, create innovative work rooms and enable the networking of actors from various industries. As the first implementation step, theCollection of the halls in the Auweg including the adjacent open space. The background of this project is based on the city council decision of April 2, 2019, which recognized the need to use the location of the city camp for the cultural and creative industries. The cityRegensburg commissioned the Stadtwerk Regensburg GmbH (DSR) in December 2020 with a feasibility study for the transformation of the city camp into a creative area.
