Description:
The Bad Neuenahr spa park is a listed park that is part of the overall spa district structure. With the thermal bath house, the Steigenberger Kurhotel and the Kurhaussaal with casino, the Kurpark forms the historic spa district of the Bad-Neuenahr district. In the south The Kurparkterrassen building is located on the edge of the spa park. It is a two-story building with a basement. Built of solid construction in 1972, the building was severely damaged in the basement and ground floor by the flood disaster in July 2021. There was one on the ground floor Water level of 1.78 measured above the top edge of the floor. Before the flood disaster, the ground floor was used as office space for Ahrtal Marketing GmbH (AMG) and as a temporary event space ("Small Stage") to compensate for the concert hall opposite, which had already been dismantled. The usage corresponded to a municipal administration and events building (citizens' center). The upper floor was used for meetings, courses and storage space.
