Description:
The Bad Neuenahr spa park is a listed park that is part of the overall spa district structure. With the thermal bath house, the Steigenberger Kurhotel and the Kurhaussaal with casino, the Kurpark forms the historic spa district of the Bad-Neuenahr district. The Kurparkterrassen building is located on the southern edge of the spa park. It is a two-story building with a basement. Built in solid construction in 1972, the building was damaged by the flood disaster Severely damaged in the basement and ground floor in July 2021. A water level of 1.78 above the top edge of the floor was measured on the ground floor. Before the flood disaster, the ground floor was used as office space for Ahrtal Marketing GmbH (AMG) and as temporary space Event area ("Small Stage") used as compensation for the already dismantled concert hall opposite. The use corresponded to a municipal administration and event building (citizens' center). The upper floor was used for meetings, Courses and storage areas used. Storage and social rooms were located in the basement. Furthermore, the existing technical building of the Großer Sprudel was destroyed due to the flood. The fountain technology was then temporarily moved outside relocated and is now to be integrated into the basement of the Kurparkterrassen building. In order to meet AMG's new and growing space requirements, a project was created as part of the initial planning process...
