Description:
The municipal accident insurance Bavaria (KUVB), Bavarian State accident fund, operates the IT infrastructure for the administration in a predominantly virtualized environment with approx. 110 servers. The servers run based on Microsoft Windows Server as well as Linux and IBM I/OS.
For approx. 400 IT users will be Currently Windows 10 used as a standard operating system and Office 2016 Professional as Office Suite.
For the year 2025, the replacement of Windows 10 by Windows 11 is planned as a standard operating system, insofar as this in the course of the Microsoft Roadmap with the client applications used and the Hardware requirements (e.g. binding to processor types) is possible fully compatible.
The goal of procurement is the uninterrupted use of the software acquired with the previous Enterprise Agreement, which ends on 30.11.2025 and the annual auditing of the license use (Microsoft-Sam procedure).
The decision is made to change on-premise products to cloud products.
