New construction of the Communication Center Forum of the Friedrich-Schiller-Universitat Jena
With the new construction of the Communication Center Forum at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universitat Jena, a place of informal encounter between scientists and an interested audience is to be created. In this buildingwill be both modern jobs such as Science Lounge and Co-working spaces, as well as conference rooms and apartments for guest scientists. A public gastronomy area is also planned on the ground floor.
Immediately next to the construction of the forum are located as listed onesBuilding of the "Hoer-Saal cultivation at the former Griesbach House" and the main building of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. The construction of the forum confidently positions itself as a clear building on a narrow property in this historical context. The cross -section of the building istrapezoidal, so that the depth of the building decreases with increasing height. The building is not under cellar and has a total of five floors.
The listed "lecture hall cultivation at the former Griesbach house" is renovated as part of the project and connected directly to the forum.
