- The Free State of Bavaria, represented by the Bavarian State Institute for Agriculture (LfL), awards the implementation of the 1st screening test to examine potato samples for bacterial ring rot (Clavibacter sepedonicus, Cs), slime disease (Ralstonia solanacearum, Rs) and potato viruses (PLRV, PVM, PVY). In step 1, 1,800 potato samples each year, each containing 210 tubers, are to be prepared for the detection of RNA and DNA and then disposed of. In step 2, 900 samples, each divided into 12 subsamples, are to be examined for viruses (PLRV, PVM, PVY) using qPCR. In the work papertt 3 1800 samples are to be tested for Cs and Rs using PCR.
